Review of Blackburn Properties by RevBull
"Lansdowne Apartments via Blackburn Property Management has been decent to me. The rent isn't great, but it's far better than most of the market. Maintenance is done adequately, with minor hiccups and delays. For example, the pool looks awful but the water is clean. Maintenance and management staff are professional and capable and respond within 1 business day. They are currently renovating the building to inflate rent prices, as though clapboard floors are worth an extra $100/mo., but that's rental business for ya."
Review of Realiant Property Management by ZC
"Realiant Property Management is definitely a decent "landlord" - but they are a property management company, the actual landlords for this property we do not interact with or have contact information for. The real landlords visited the house once with plenty of notice and were apparently very respectful even though I wasn't there. They just wanted to check up on the property. Realiant is very respectful, very distant and pretty flexible. I haven't had any major issues with them, most of the problems we've had with the property have just been due to the house being very old, but it's a lovely space. Whenever we need a repair they are pretty responsive about getting someone out to us, though it can take a couple days unless it's an emergency. The repairs aren't always top notch, but I feel comfortable with them. The lease is very long and detailed which I like, it covers almost everything. I would definitely rent a property through Realiant again."
Review of Andrew Potts by kystudent
"My landlord tried to make me move apartments and leave me homeless for 2 weeks even though it was not in the lease agreement. When people came in to fix issues with and clean the apartment - with no notice, mind you, they left my door open so anyone could come after the left, they left trash on my doorstep, and they left all of the lights on - I pay for electric. Every time I have tried to contact him, I get no answer and he never returns my calls or emails. The one time I was able to speak to him, he was very rude and would often cut me off when talking to him."
Review of Jim Arnold by OCH
Review of Jim Arnold – Idle Hour, 40502 ★★ "He was understanding in many situations, but the gutter/siding above the door outside broke off and it was months before it was fixed. The building didn’t have fire alarms. He requires written notice WELL in advance before your lease ends if you want to move but doesn’t point… Continue reading Review of Jim Arnold by OCH
Review of Hardin Properties by anon
"Hardin Properties was very professional to work with. Our unit was newly renovated so everything was brand new and clean upon moving in. Maintenance was very friendly and completed repairs quickly. Office was across the street from us on Lexington Ave which made it convenient to handle anything in person. They claimed to tow in the lot without a sticker, but always gave warnings prior and rarely had anyone even check. We had an ESA which they accommodated without any hassle. The only issue we had was during move out we had a significant chunk withheld from our security deposit. Being that everything was new when we moved in I believe we were unfairly docked for "damages" that were moreso normal wear and tear."
Review of Robert Powell by bradfwrd
"Robert Powell never came to the house and barely communicated with the property manager. The most egregious problem though was a complete lack of a heater in the house, like there was no heat installed at all, just AC. In the depths of winter 2016, the property manager brought over one large heater. The property manager was a good guy who was trying his best to maintain over 30 properties if memory serves. Do not rent from Robert Powell."
Review of Phil Henry Sadlo (PVH Real Estate) by HappyCamper
"I've seen a couple reviews of Phil Henry Sadlo's (PVH rentals) and I'm not discrediting any reviews, but I wanted to give my own personal one. When I first moved there, I needed to get into a place quickly and they made moving in very quick. Even though they still had to maintenance some areas of the house, they allowed me to move in a few days before my lease (for free, I'm pretty sure) while they finished their work during the week. A year later and I'll probably sign the lease for a 3rd time. Phil is kind and I've always felt comfortable around him. Property manager Ally is helpful and accommodating. She can be short, which can come off hateful to some, but I'm not one to overthink and she always responded immediately to me. They are truly understanding people, including the maintenance crew, and I would highly recommend renting from them. Only bad part about living on this street and I don't consider it their responsibility, but there are A LOT of break ins on this street. However, since the cameras have been installed outside, Phil and Ally were able to record the break ins and there has been significantly less!"
Review of Wassmer Properties by Astrluk
"Obvious slumlord. One of the bedrooms was a converted closet, the house barely kept any heat in the winter, and Trump supporting property managers would enter the home unannounced without giving 24 hour notice on several occasions to berate tenants. Wanted us to re-sign the lease less than 6 months in and when we decided not to they began showing the house nearly every day for months, having strangers in our home quite frequently. No privacy, no respect, and obvious money-grabbers. Don’t recommend, also the property owner lives out of state so that’s an extra layer of bs."
Review of Robert Powell by Astrluk
"Robert Powell is scum and an exploitative landlord/lawyer who preys on tenants. When I moved in the previous tenants were still moving out despite being told to be out by a certain time, this meant that Robert did not do a walkthrough between tenants, despite there being extensive damage to carpets and walls which would later be blamed on me. The main issues were that we went without heat between November and January…yes, we literally did not have heat and Robert stalled on trying to get us a replacement heater for months without offering to reduce rent or provide any recourse. Then, on top of that, in the summer our AC went out and Robert spent a week trying to weasel his way out of fixing it when the median average temperature was above 95 degrees. The final point is that he took our entire deposit for bullshit reasons including taking out money for completing maintenance on the house. He then proceeded to take our deposit money and spruce up the house for the next tenants. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend, stay away from this exploitative cockroach."
