“Steve House is a slum lord, plain and simple. His properties are dilapidated, below code, and willfully neglected. He often operates by cash with no printed lease, which leaves his more vulnerable tenants without any legal footing. I lived in two of his properties and have been inside many. They are roach infested, have black mold, multiple leaks, and are a serious health hazard. When told about the roaches for the ninth time, Steve House would respond that “every house in Lexington has roaches”. The building I used to occupy currently has a condemned sign on the front door, and multiple residents living inside with no where to go.”
