“Horrible person, him and his wife. Do not rent unless you want constant harassment and banging on your door to make sure you didnt chip ANYTHING or to duct tape your entire fireplace. These people are crazy. Went to court and judge laughed at them and dismissed the eviction.”

Review of Urban Vigor by levi1
“Great experience, like all apartments there are the occasional issue, but the management team, especially Jay was quick to respond and help us out. He was fair minded and really went out of his way to help us even when we needed a little extra help on things. They have lots of options around town, so when we were ready to move up to a larger 2 bedroom he accommodated us.”
Review of Kentucky Life Property Management by mks
“You basically never heard from the property manager after you signed your lease. They were decent at responding to maintenance requests in the online portal, but you could never get a hold of them via office phone. The only reason I'm doing this review is to let you all know that 262 Kalmia Avenue is INFESTED WITH ROACHES. I kept my unit clean and they sprayed once a month, but it was still so bad after months of spraying. Probably killed 10 roaches a day for months. I wouldn't rent there if I were you."
Review of David Jones (Jones Management Group) by tutu
“David is the owner of Jones Management Group and is standoffish, rude, and refuses to communicate via phone. When I moved into the house I was renting, it was dirty and had a few minor defects. When I moved out after 3 years of paying rent on time and in full (throughout the pandemic, mind you), I had the house professionally cleaned. It was in immaculate condition, much better than when I originally moved in. However, he STILL kept over 90% of my deposit for such nitpicky details. He also charged for items I replaced throughout the house on my own dime, charged us for maintenance requests we submitted, and charged for garage door openers we weren't even provided with upon move-in 3 years ago. TLDR; Old landlord is a coward and I am venting my frustrations here instead of going through the trouble of trying to fight this loser in small claims court. David is the definition of landlord scum - selfish and greedy.”
Review of Carol Brooks by switchwitch
“Carol is a pleasant woman. She is not up in the resident’s business but still takes very good care of the property. Since I’ve been living here (I moved in August 2018) a lot of work has been done to the property including removing falling/rotting trees and landscaping that could be dangerous, painting the front door, and making the building look more inviting, and she has someone come in and clean the stairwell areas at least 1-2 times a year. Anytime I’ve had an issue - which, in 3 years really hasn’t been that many because the 100+-year-old property is well maintained, she responds to my texts as soon as possible and gets a professional out to take care of it within 48 hours usually. Pest control usually comes quarterly if not more frequently to spray the apartments to make sure there are no bugs. Since I’ve lived here I have seen 0 bugs other than little gnats in the summer. Not even really any spiders. My partner and I plan to live here until we buy a house.”
Review of Micah Poston / Burton Properties by MaxwellMen
Overall, I would not rent from Burton Property again. While Micah made some generous accommodations for us during a frantic period of time during the pandemic, the lack of communication and professionalism were serious problems and threatened our safety and security. If I could have gone above his head to whoever actually owns Burton Property (we never met or contacted anyone with the name Burton or even had any idea how we could find this info), I would have reported Micah and how his behavior comes across to tenants. If you want a very, very hands-off, independent renting experience, then Micah and Burton Property might be right for you, but if you need any information, communication, or assistance whatsoever, then I say godspeed to you, and may your prayers fall upon ears more acute than Micah Poston's.
Review of The Creeks on Kirklevington by Lexingtonian
“Our $910 total rent for a two-story townhouse, two bed townhouse is one of the best steals I’ve found in Lexington, but the real strength of Creeks is their leasing office. Lauren Sturgill, the leasing agent, is personable, responsive to concerns and questions, and works diligently to find everyone the best space for them. She’s amazingly communicative and endlessly helpful. The maintenance also responds quickly to issues, and is friendly and open to answer questions or explain their solutions. I don’t think I’ll rent from anyone or anywhere else as long as I’m in Lexington.”
