Review of Bob Peterson – Hideaway at the Treetops, 40517
“The Peterson family are the kindest landlords I’ve had in either Lexington or Louisville. Bob can often be seen driving around the complex and picking up fallen branches and litter, and he will give you a friendly hello and ask if everything is okay. His son Jesse handles new leases and tours, and he’s approachable and professional. They really do try to make our little community safe, clean, and as welcoming as possible, and they are proactive upon receiving feedback (we needed new washing machines, and they agreed and replaced them all within a reasonable time frame). Plus they host community events and door decorating contests to make you feel a bit closer to your neighbors. 10/10, grab an apartment here if you can.”

Nice? Sure…but beware of the cockroaches. You’ll never get rid of them in the Royalty Court apartments, not that they try to get rid of them. I’ve asked many times over the last year and all they do is spray my place meanwhile there are 7 other units. It’s almost funny. I’m sure this place is so infested that roaches have become a key structural component of the building. The walls would collapse without them! TBH it’s hard to sleep thinking about it. There’s no way Jesse didn’t know how bad off this place was when I moved in, yet he skipped that part of the tour. It was my first college apartment and I was trying to get out of a bad situation, so…I rushed in and got into another. Can’t wait to move out and never see this place again. Sad that I’ll have to toss so many of my things, but there’s no way I’m risking them coming with me. You live and you learn, I guess.
