“Shelby is an older gentleman. I saw a different house he had for rent but wasn’t interested because it was old and too small. He called me about the house I currently reside in. The bedrooms were much bigger, there was more than one bathroom, walk-in closets, fenced backyard, and an actual dining area. However, everything is old and mismatched. Everything that has needed maintenance is replaced with something used and previously owned and often doesn’t match what is currently in the home with the exception of the microwave. There are problems with centipedes and ants (literally coming out of a wall socket) but it is my problem. There has been in-going electrical issues in the home. Shelving units are lopsided. Screen door doesn’t fit. Bathroom fans sound like an aircraft taking flight. The flooring under the sinks are lopsided and abt to fall in. Flooring is mismatched throughout the home. I asked to replace the flooring at my expense, he declined. I asked to have a new screen door cost deducted from rent, he said he’d look at it and replace it. I take pride in my home and do my best to buy quality things but the basis of the home is old and many things are in need of repair.”
