"Found ads for some of his properties on Facebook. Dane has been attentive and polite. We rented a space he recently renovated and he was quick to fix unforeseen problems such as the breaker tripping with multiple kitchen appliances plugged in. The property includes a yard and is totally pet friendly, including one time pet deposit. He responds to our texts quickly and has fixed all issues we have brought up, minor or not. We were given a huge discount (around $3k worth of rent) for signing a longer lease with him. The property is well maintained and the renovations were lovely. We will likely sign another two year lease with him. Price of $750/mo plus $200 all utilities seems very fair for our 2BR, we are just a few minutes from Downtown and closer to our jobs."
Review of Wendy & Oscar Thornton by sunflowerdaisypansy
"I've been renting with them on and off for around three years total and after shifting around to other living situations with other landlords, I've landed solely with the Thorntons. I intend to rent with them for as long as possible. They are very professional and put a lot of work and passion into the houses they rent out. I've never had a bad experience with them. The lease is always well-written and gone over in detail. Any maintenance issues are answered almost immediately and handled very quickly. After ten years of living in and around Lexington, they're the best landlords I've ever encountered in this town. Highly recommend."
Review of Daryl Shields by MsWil2020
"Mr. Shields is AMAZING. He always responds in a timely manner and has no problem with fixing anything I bring to his attention, right away. He is very respectful and professional. Best property I have ever lived in and to top that affordable. Mr. Shields is one of the BEST around town, he keeps his properties in tip top shape as he does his own."

Review Hunter VanArsdall / AHV Properties of by dciethan
"I am a person in recovery from addiction. During a more chaotic part of my life I got an eviction on my record. I didn’t think I’d ever be able to live on my own. Hunter was kind, understanding, and he gave me a chance. I’ve been in my beautiful home for a year now and I’m grateful for it everyday."
Review of Jeremy & Megan Ford by cpsh223
"A wonderful, loving family, who will do anything to assure that your living space is taken care of. They are understanding, generous, thoughtful, and over-all AMAZING people. Very easy to communicate with. And they genuinely care about how you are and are extremely supportive of your dreams. Also the house is beautiful."
Review of Bob Peterson by Polka Dot Pants
"The Peterson family are the kindest landlords I've had in either Lexington or Louisville. Bob can often be seen driving around the complex and picking up fallen branches and litter, and he will give you a friendly hello and ask if everything is okay. His son Jesse handles new leases and tours, and he's approachable and professional. They really do try to make our little community safe, clean, and as welcoming as possible, and they are proactive upon receiving feedback (we needed new washing machines, and they agreed and replaced them all within a reasonable time frame). Plus they host community events and door decorating contests to make you feel a bit closer to your neighbors. 10/10, grab an apartment here if you can."
Review of Mark McFarland by Plant1fish
"Mark is a rare find when it comes to landlords. He started managing properties as a way to make sure his own kids have decent housing while attending UK. This means that property management isn't his main job and that he's not in it to get rich. I couldn't have asked for a better landlord in terms of understanding and willingness to work with people. There admittedly is the downside that he's not doing this full time and therefore maintenance requests are a bit slow, but he also doesn't cheap out on solutions. When our oven broke, he replaced it with a way nicer model than before and didn't even ask if it was our fault or take any of the deposit."
