“This has been a few years ago now (circa 2015). I rented in an old building in a 1-bedroom that was really a studio due to poor ventilation in the back “bedroom.” It was clean. Maintenance came in every single month to “check the air filter” which I found invasive, other than that I never had to interact with them. I ended up moving out early and tried to have a friend take over my lease, but they refused to finish her application because of her verbal disclosure of a previous eviction several years prior in another state. Don’t remember whether I got my deposit back.”
