“When I first moved into the house with my roommate the property management company had just bought, they had done some work to make it fit for living but some was not finished including roofing and cooling. Our front door lock was broken for some months when we first moved in and took a long time for them to send round a repairman even after we had a home invasion incident. Later, when I had to leave and had someone take over my lease I asked about the security deposit and they said it was their policy for previous tenants to get their deposit back from the new tenant taking over and obviously with no help from the landlord I did not get it back. Even though rent was pretty reasonable back then [2016-2017], it’s still $375 I new saw again.
Now, when I look at rental listings in Lexington in 22-23, I see this company is also the only one charging a “move-in fee” of $250 along with an application fee of $75. Be wary of them!”
